THE AMENDMENT OF BIGOTRY AND DISCRIMINATION

I need to vent after the passage of this horrible Amendment. Bigotry and Discrimination wrapped in the Bible are STILL Bigotry and Discrimination! I have seen this on my facebook and I agree wholeheartedly. There is suppose to be separation of church and state. I saw no such thing with this vote.

What these so called christians don't get are that we homosexuals are human beings with feelings. Many of us have families and all of us have responsibilities. All we are asking for are the SAME civil rights that heterosexuals enjoy and some misuse. We pay taxes, have jobs, raise kids, have family responsibilities, are a part of society and yet we are treated like second class citizens. This has got to change.

There are many homosexuals that believe in God I being one of them. My idea of God is Good Orderly Direction. That is how I try to live my life. God is loving and non judgmental.  The Jesus that I heard about as a child never judged anyone. In fact he always helped people in need. My idea of Jesus is that he walked the earth many many centuries ago as a saint. I believe that Jesus would be so disappointed in the "radical" conservative christian right of today's time. The ones that are using his name in vain to do horrible injustices against others that don't believe as they do.  The majority of conservative christians  believe that being a homosexual is a  sin. I don't believe that. We are just human beings who happen to love people of the same gender. I get SO tired of the conservative christians who keep taunting the phrase one man one woman equals marriage when the phrase should be LOVE + COMMITMENT = MARRIAGE. These three things are what I have with my wife Kathy. Two loving committed people is what makes a marriage work.

It hurts my heart to know that 61% of North Carolinians believe that we shouldn't have the right to marry the one we Love and are committed to. This is going to change it just has to change. It takes all of us to make a change. Don't let bigotry and discrimination win out. No One has the right to judge others. There is nothing unnatural about one human being loving another human being and wanting to marry that someone no matter what their genders are.

These are my Thoughts and Feelings from Jillsville.
